How to Convert Heights

Feet & Inches to Centimeters

Multiply feet by 12 to convert to inches
Add the inches to get total inches
Multiply total inches by 2.54 to get centimeters

Example: Convert 5’7″ to centimeters
(5 × 12) + 7 = 67 inches
67 × 2.54 = 170.18 centimeters

Centimeters to Feet & Inches

Divide centimeters by 2.54 to get inches
Divide inches by 12 to get feet (take the whole number)
Multiply the remainder by 12 to get the remaining inches

Example: Convert 175 cm to feet and inches
175 ÷ 2.54 = 68.9 inches
68.9 ÷ 12 = 5.74 feet = 5 feet and 0.74 × 12 = 8.88 inches
